In 1985, United Family Practice was formed, joining with Tim Rumsey, MD, a local
private practitioner, both socially committed to serving the community.
In 1991, United Family Practice and Helping Hand Health Center merged, forming
the United Family Practice/Helping Hand Health Center.
1992
In 1992, United Family Practice/Helping Hand Health Center merged with the Miller
Outpatient Department Clinic to form United Family Practice Center. United Family
Practice/Helping Hand Health Center merged clinic continues to serve the community
with access to affordable, quality health care.
2004
In March 2004, United Family Practice became United Family Practice Health Center,
an independent Federally Qualified Health Care Clinic - LA, lead by a board of directors comprised of patients
and community leaders. United Family Practice Health Center is dedicated to
providing comprehensive primary care services to the community and to teaching
resident physicians the art and science of family medicine.
