2008 Allina Healthy Community Awards announced
Allina Hospitals & Clinics has selected a school district and nonprofit group as the 2008 winners of its Healthy Community Award which honors organizations that demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to improving community health.

Annandale School District made wellness and health a core part of teaching when it partnered with Allina's Buffalo Hospital to introduce students to the DAAN Youth Curriculum.

Portico Healthnet works with hospitals throughout the Twin Cities area to help families access a continuum of preventive, primary and specialty care.

Heart Safe Communities
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at anytime, to anyone. That's why we launched this effort to prevent death from sudden cardiac arrest by placing automated external defibrillators throughout communities.

Take Heart Anoka County: Sudden cardiac initiative

Take Heart Anoka County
Take Heart Anoka County is part of a national demonstration program, Take Heart America, and a new approach to saving lives. It's designed to dramatically increase the number of people who survive sudden cardiac arrest. It brings together the public and the health care community to save lives.

Healthy Kids in Healthy Places Community Action Forum
From schools, youth organizations, health care and public health to families, day care, community groups and the food industry; we can and must work together to decrease childhood obesity.
