LaboratoryThe Laboratory Department at New Ulm Medical Center provides clinical laboratory services, meeting the expectations of physicians/providers and maintaining positive relationships with nursing, patients, and other medical community providers. The department provides care for both outpatients and inpatients of all ages, race, religion or method of payment. The outpatient laboratory is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and all lab appointments must be scheduled, usually through a practitioner. To serve the needs of the inpatient and emergency departments, the laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The laboratory is licensed by CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) and is JCAHO (Joint Commission Accreditation for Hospital Organizations) Laboratory Accredited. |
